More than 15 years spent in the studios of photo and behind the scenes of the fashion shows taught Sylvie Coudray that the hair is an essential element of beauty.
She also learnt that in order to choose the ideal cut for any face, it wasn't always best to follow the current trend.
Sylvie Coudray’s motto is HARMONY.
Harmony of the lines with the volume of the face, coloured harmony between the hairs, the complexion and the eyes, and the harmony of a silhouette.
In the 1st century AD, the poet Ovide was praised the art of hairdressing and advised women “to choose what fits them the best and, before anything, to consult their mirror… A young lady will leave her hair floating on her shoulders, another one will tie them behind… Puffed and free hairs will fit a lady while another will tighten them with tooth and curls…”
And it is to offer all women and men this notion of “customized” applied to the hairdressing that Sylvie Coudray created her workshop, a hairdressing studio nestled in a cosy apartment of the chic 1st district.
Sylvie Coudray's "Workshop" became a very popular beauty rendez-vous within 8 years, intimate and warm at the same time but also a place of artistic meetings where painters, photographers and sculptors expose their creations.
